Metaphors for resilience in the face of change
On Yakushima Island in Japan, coral rocks stand as quiet sculptures, shaped over millennia by the sea and the passage of time. This is a series of rubbings of various rock formations. This technique is used in archaeology to preserve prehistoric rock carvings, which are rapidly deteriorating due to changing environmental conditions.
